About Me

I am a SMARTS data manager at Yale University in the Department of Astronomy. I help organize observing queues, and reduce and distrubute data taken on the SMARTS 1.3 and 1.5 meter telescopes in CTIO. Other responsibilities include calculating photometric zeropoints for data taken on the 1.3m, maintaining the data archive, processing data for our Fermi Blazar monitoring program, and the ocasional observing run.

I love learning new things, and strive to be a life long learner. I spend a lot of time on coursera, lynda, and codecademy, where I've learned about web design, machine learning, and data science. I've also contributed to and presented in YastroML, the Yale Astronomy reading group for machine learning and data mining in astronomy. You can view our iPython notebooks here
