Discussion Sections |
There will be discussion sections each week, led by one of the
Teaching assistants.
These have 2 purposes:
(1) provide math and physics background and help teach problem solving skills
relevant for completing the homeworks.
(2) discuss interesting astronomy topics of direct relevance to the course
in more detail than can be covered in class.
Participation in the Discussion Sections is optional.
The incentive to participate is that
the Sections are designed to help you do better on the homework and
exams!
Sections will begin at the beginning of the 3rd week of the semester, (i.e., Jan 28-29).
