This page provides access to tools for preparing, submitting, and tracking the progress of "Phase II" observing programs approved for scheduling on the CTIO 1.3-meter Telescope and ANDICAM (A Novel Dual Imaging CAMera). ANDICAM has been redeployed at the CTIO 1.3m (ex-2MASS) telescope as part of the SMARTS Consortium, which began operating 4 small telescopes at CTIO starting in February 2003.
Access to these tools is via a login screen (see link below). If you have been granted time with ANDICAM but not yet received a SMARTS Project ID code for your observing program, please contact your program coordinator.
The CCD U-Band Filter Has Broken - Please Read
Sometime between Sept 1 and 5, the U-band filter "broke" (either shattered or delaminted), and is no longer usable. See the news page for details. Effective immediately (2004 Sept 14), the U filter is unavailable until further notice, and all planned U filter imaging has been canceled. Please modify your observing programs accordingly. There are no immediate plans to replace the filter, as we have to determine how and when we can do this.
