Research Interests

My research is concerned with optical/infrared light curves of black-hole X-ray binaries during their quiescent and outburst phases. In particular, I study how the accretion flow varies during outbursts (e.g. jet formation) and acquire fundamental binary parameters (e.g. orbital period. mass function). I also work in collaboration with other department members on observing blazars with the SMARTS 1.3m telescope.
