Research Interests
I am currently a grad student at the Yale Astronomy Dept, working under Dr. Bill van Altena's supervision in the Yale Astrometry Group. We are working on the completion of the Southern Proper Motion program (SPM), and in particular, I am studying the proper motions of the Magelanic Clouds and the Inter Cloud region, using SPM data. In general, I am interested in all kinds of astrometric research that involve proper motions, including local galactic kinematics (solar motion, stellar streams, Bulge), astrometric calibration of instruments (particularly those using adaptive/active optics), and kinematics of nearby galactic objects (nearby dwarf/irregular galaxies).
