I am a fourth year graduate student in the Astronomy Department at Yale University.  My work with my thesis advisor, Marla Geha, involves studying the dynamical evolution of dwarf Spheroidal (dSph) galaxies in the M31 system.  We use a combination of high-resolution spectroscopy of dSph member stars, deep photometric observations of dSphs, and numerical simulations of dSph evolution to help us understand the dynamical processes responsible for the creation of these dwarfs.
