Planetarium Will Take Public on Journeys Through the Cosmos

New Haven, Conn. — You don't have to spend years training to be an astronaut, or even pay a million dollars as a space tourist, to tour the cosmos. Now members of the Yale community, New Haven school groups and the general public can by whisked off to space without even leaving their seats at Yale's new planetarium.

Crowds Flock To Weekly Free Sky-Gazing Sessions At Yale's New Planetarium

 

A NEW PLANETARIUM has opened at the Yale Observatory and the public is invited every first and third Tuesday nights for a visual commentary on our solar system. Visitors also can use the telescopes in the observatory to get a look at planets and constellations in the night sky. (JOHN WOIKE / HARTFORD COURANT / February 17, 2009)
