Subject: softball results and reminder

Hi everybody,
Usually I like to write the results up after the games....but it's been a
real busy week...I'll try to get on the ball next week.

Anyhow, FIS split it's double header on Sunday.  FIS won the first game
because the other team's captain misread the schedule, and they didn't
show up.  The second game was a tough fought battle, but FIS fell a bit
short.  After falling behind 3-2 after the first inning, FIS and
Mismatched Bases posted identical scores for most of the rest of the game
-- we'd score two, they'd score two...and that's pretty much how it went
right up until the end, when we lost 8-7.  Star of the game award's goes
to Dana -- whose ability to get on base was exceded only by her ability
to keep them off the bases with some impressive defensive work.

Next game is on Sunday at 12:15 against the Bad News Barristers 2 (Law
School).  I hear they're not as fearsome as they were last year.  I will
be out there at 11:30, if anybody wants to get some practice in.
