We will be playing SOM, so I hope everyone that can will show up to take on those devious business-school types. The game will be held on the usual softball fields down the street from the Yale Bowl. To get there (excuse me for the inexactness of the directions -- if you need something more specific call me at 624-9553) you need to take Frontage Rd. west (away from the city) until it reaches an intersection where you can't drive any further. Take a right there (route 10/ E. Grasso Highway), and then the first left onto Derby Rd. Pass the Yale Bowl and take the 2nd (I think 2nd) right onto the road that has big open fields to both the left and right -- surrounded by fences (Stadium drive maybe, can't remember the name). Anyhow, if you've gotten that far, park on the street (or maybe pull into the driveway on the left if they're letting you). You'll find the softball fields on the left-hand side of the road. Like I said, if you're real confused call me, and I'll look into it better. Also, if you need a ride, let me know. The game will be held on SB1, which means the nice looking varsity field. It's the only thing out there that looks like a professional looking softball field (with dugouts and everything). Hope to see you out there. Let's try to have a forfeit free season. Couldn't ask for better weather these days in which to get out and have a fun afternoon, right? Doug (PS - After this e-mail I will remove all the old names from the list. If you'd still like to play, get hold of me by e-mail or just come to the game and let me know you're not on the list). We will be playing in the Rec league this season because 15 men have responded to my e-mails and 5 women (co-rec requires four women for every game). Once again, I emphasize that everyone who wants to play shows up because 1). It's softball, and it's not exactly cutthroat play and 2). most teams field several women anyhow.
