Terry's required a contortionist slide to avoid a tag at the plate, while Cooper's went really really far. Defensive highlights included a great running catch of a deep fly ball by Matt Glassman in centerfield. We'll leave out the part about what happened after the catch. Also, Jalean made a nice stop at pitcher of a liner right at her. ** So we have no game next week. Monday's Columbus Day, and Canadian Thanksgiving, and Yom Kippur, and I guess we've got people on the team observing all of them. The fields will not be available over the weekend because the School of Management is having a soccer tournament and using all the intramural fields, so no practice either. Next game is at 1:15 on the 15th on the same field against the Ballers, the child study team. I'll send out another reminder next week. Tom (** Editor's Note - Tom neglected to mention the hot liner at third that he gloved to seal the win, in addition to his all-around fine coaching job.)
