Subject: Softball update

OK.  So we finally won a game yesterday, by a tidy 17-16 margin in the
bottom of the 7th inning on a walk-off base hit. It was alumni day, as
John Check, and Mark and Katie showed up and helped us out.  All the
old timers contributed to the victory, as Mark chipped
in a couple homeruns, John hit a few line drive based hits to right field,
and Katie lined a couple balls to the outfield and made a few nice
defensive plays.  

So anyways, I'll keep the game summary short, since we have another game
coming up, tomorrow (Wednesday), against the Lethal Hits (genetics) on the
varsity softball field at 5:30.  Please try and show up a little early if
you can.  We'll meet there and try to see if there's another field open so
we don't get a homerun derby instead of a ballgame.
