The calculator performs a Monte Carlo simulation of a sample of objects which evolve according to user-provided parameters. These parameters, and the calculation of luminosities and colors of individual objects in the simulation, are described in van Dokkum & Franx (2001). Abbreviated descriptions are given in the Help links.

The basic products of the calculator are the redshift evolution of the mean luminosity, mean color, and the scatter in luminosity and color of the simulated objects.

The program is written in JavaScript, and requires a JavaScript-enabled browser.
