I am the lead developer of Halotools, a python package providing a flexible platform to build and test models of the galaxy-halo connection. Halotools also contains many general purpose, heavily optimized algorithms that should be of general use in analyzing cosmological simulations. The package has been publicly available at https://github.com/astropy/halotools since its inception in the spirit of open, reproducible science.
