MUSYC WIDE NIR SURVEY: SDSS1030+05 and Cast1256 Fields Guillermo A. Blanc gblancm@astro.as.utexas.edu Notes: - The source detection was done using SExtractor in dual-image mode. The K-band "*_det.fits" frame was used as the detection image (see readme file for the images), and the PSF matched images for each band as the photometry image. - The detection criteria required 1 pixel above 3.8 sigma and 3.6 sigma for 1030 and 1256 respectively. No filtering was applied during the detection. - The fraction of spurious sources at K < 20.00 (Vega) is less then 1% in both catalogs. At fainter magnitudes the fraction of spurious sorces increases dramatically and the catalogs should be used with caution. - Total K-band fluxes are measured in the SExtractor AUTO aperture, and aperture corrected using the growth curve. - Color fluxes are measured in a 1.4*FWHM diameter aperture. - Flux errors were estimated using the Empty Aperture Method (Labbe et al. 2003, Gawiser et al. 2006, Quadri et al. 2007), for both the color and the AUTO apertures. - All fluxes are given in 0.363*muJy units, so AB=-2.5log(flux)+25.00 Catalog Column Description: 1 ID Object id 2 X x barycenter 3 Y y barycenter 4 RA J2000 decimal hours 5 DEC J2000 decimal degrees 6 FIELD Internal field code: 1=1030 2=1256 7-20 [band]_FLUX,_ERR Flux, error in color aperture 21 K_FLUX_CORR K-band aperture-corrected AUTO flux 22 K_AUTO_ERR K-band AUTO error 23-29 [band]_w Exptime, normalized to maximum of all objects (currently =1 for optical bands) 30 APER_COL Color aperture diameter (arcsec) 31 APER_TOT AUTO aperture diameter (arcsec) 32 A_IMAGE Semi-major axis of AUTO aperture (pixels) 33 B_IMAGE Semi-minor axis of AUTO aperture (pixels) 34 THETA_IMAGE K-band Position angle (SExtractor's THETA_J2000) 35 K_CORR Aperture correction (AUTO flux -> total flux) 36 CLASS_K SExtractor star/galaxy classifier 37 F_DEBLEND1 Object was originally blended with another (SExtractor's "blend") 38 F_DEBLEND2 Object's neighbors may significantly bias AUTO photometry (SExtractor's "bias") 39 FLAGS_K SExtractor flag for K
